Get the Looks: 4 Textured Styles for House of Aama S/S 2026

The “Folk Grounds” collection by House of Aama for Spring/Summer 2026 tells a story of labor, of the land, and of traditions rooted in Black culture within the American South.

Designers Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka invited celebrity hairstylist Monaè Everett to craft hair looks to complete the lyrical narrative and complement the lush, diverse textures, abundant color palette, and dynamic movement seen throughout the sustainable fashion collection.

Everett used Mielle Organics products to create artistic hairstyles that celebrated texture and ranged from polished control to effortless bounce.

“I’ve worked backstage at over 25 Fashion Week seasons,” Everett says, “and what excites me about leading House of Aama’s show with Mielle is the chance to bring cultural storytelling to life through hair.”

Below are the details and steps to create four of the show’s most eye-catching styles.
