My name is Liudmyla Krotova. I am currently serving as Head Coach of the U.S. National Aesthetics Team competing at the world’s largest live beauty competition, the Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC) Hairworld World Championship.
We are currently in preparation for the 2025 show in Paris from Sept. 13-15.
This is truly one of the most thrilling events to watch! It features numerous practical demonstrations of hair, makeup, nails, lashes, and brows and is an exciting showcase of professional skill and talent in real time.
I am responsible for building a competitive, results-oriented team of six makeup and lash/ brow artists to proudly represent the United States. I am also an International Judge for OMC Hairworld.
For both roles, I approach my work strategically, guiding the team through every step: from selection and preparation to performance and execution. I believe in quality over quantity.
This mindset is what helped the U.S. team rise to historic victory in 2024 and now fuels our vision for the upcoming “World Cup” 2025 in Paris.
Big Wins in 2024
At the OMC Hairworld "World Cup" last year in 2024, the U.S. team won three gold medals and one bronze in Aesthetics categories. This marked the first such achievement for the United States in this discipline.
Our competitors showed up and showed out last year with an elite level of professionalism, artistic vision, and technical excellence. The winning entries were:
- Gold – Stage Makeup by Alexander Kodak, Washington DC
- Gold – Eyebrow Shaping & Tinting by Valeriia Krepel, Miami, FL
- Gold – Fantasy Eyelashes by Dariia Balaban, Los Angeles, CA
- Bronze – Smoky Eyes by Valeriia Krepel, Miami, FL
Preparing for Paris
Ahead of the OMC Hairworld 2025 World Championship in Paris from Sept. 13-15, the U.S. National Team is actively preparing more than 10 competition entries across various categories. We focus on creativity, technical precision, and world-class execution because the competition truly is global!
Several competitors will present their own original, officially registered techniques which are recognized for their creativity and relevance to modern aesthetics.
In my experience, every victory is the result of a clear process: selection, preparation, and strategy. Follow along and cheer on the U.S. team!
