The 7th annual Daytime Beauty Awards will revive a fan-favorite category this year, Outstanding Achievement in Nail Artistry, for the first time since the program’s 2018 debut. The honoree: Tom Bachik, the A-list nail architect whose work has become a red-carpet signature.
Once a graphic designer, Bachik has spent three decades elevating nail art on famous, fashion-forward fingertips. His work has graced magazine covers from Vogue to Vanity Fair and has been featured in campaigns for Gucci, Chanel, and Versace.
Bachik’s celebrity clientele reads like a Met Gala roll call, including Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway, and others. He has driven innovation with collaborations for Chanel, Essie, and L’Oréal, while mentoring the next wave of talent worldwide.
Bachik has also founded an eponymous brand of professional nail products that includes click-up polish pens, chrome powders, and manicure tools.
The category of Outstanding Achievement in Nail Artistry recognizes the fusion of science, precision, and design that nail artistry demands. The only other recipient of the award was celebrity manicurist Yoko Sakakura in 2018.

“Bringing back this award feels long overdue,” says DBA founder Michele Elyzabeth. “Tom has elevated nail artistry into a cultural force.”
The sister show to the prime-time Hollywood Beauty Awards, the DBAs will be held in Los Angeles on Sept. 21.
The program recognizes outstanding individuals in the fields of medicine, health & fitness, aesthetics, skin care, hair care, CBD & cannabis, beauty innovation, and more.
