Fans of the playful, award-winning Aussie hair-care brand muk no longer have to go Down Under to “muk it up” — the company has entered the U.S. market on mukhair.us.
The brand has technically been available in the U.S. for years through distribution partners, explains co-founder Janelle King. “Now, in 2025, we the brand owners are stepping directly into the market for the first time,” she says.
“That means U.S. salons and consumers will get the real muk experience: our voice, our vision, and our full range,” King says.
Her brother Scott Reynolds, who co-founded muk in 2006, says the move is a response to U.S. consumer demand for sustainable, vegan, cruelty-free, “refreshingly real” brands. “Muk is cheeky, confident, and performance obsessed,” he says.

The brand’s cult favorite lines include deep muk for moisture, fat muk for volume, kinky muk for curls, and the mr muk men’s collection.
Its bestselling pro styling tools include the muk style stick 230IR flat iron available in regular and wide plate, the muk 3900IR blow dryer and diffuser, and the muk curl stick curling iron.
