Cosmetology schools now have nearly 350 ECOHEADS shampoo nozzles for use in their teaching salons, and the sustainable company is announcing it has more water- and energy-saving showerheads available to beauty and barber institutes.
The schools get a cut rate on certified, refurbished showerheads through ECOHEADS North America’s buy-back program, developed for salons wanting to upgrade to the sustainable nozzle’s newer version created for hard water.
When salons with the first edition of the water-saving nozzles switch to the ECOHEADS X model, the Australia-based company buys back the original devices to ensure they are repurposed rather than discarded.
Since then, 300-plus showerheads have been replaced, refurbished, and re-homed in beauty schools “at a price indicative to their positive impact on the industry,” says Valorie Tate of ECOHEADS North America.
“To say this program was well received is a complete understatement!”
Tate calls the buy-back program “completely in line with our ethos of being responsible partners to salons.
“Salons could upgrade and take advantage of the advanced features of the new edition, developed for the most challenging water areas in the U.S., but get money back and feel good about trading in their working nozzles.”
ECOHEADS X has an additional magnetic filter to clean and soften water with extreme levels of mineralization. Both versions boost water pressure and can cut water and energy use by up to 65%.
